匙㪻（上是之反方言匕謂之匙說文從匕是聲也經從木作𣏚考聲謂磨上橫木也非經義下厥願反廣雅云㪻抒也蒼頡篇抒取也說文從斗䜌聲經從手作捲音權非經義䜌音力專反）。

匙㪻 (the first character is chí, fanqie 是之 [sh- + -(zh)i]: The Fangyan says: 'A spoon (bǐ) is called a chí.' The Shuowen jiezi says it takes the bǐ (匕) semantic and shì (是) phonetic. The sūtra writes it with the wood semantic as 𣏚; the Kaosheng says this refers to the crossbar wood atop a millstone, which is not the meaning of the sūtra. The second character is juàn, fanqie 厥願 [j- + -(y)uan]: The Guangya says: 'Juàn means to ladle out (shū).' The Cangjie pian says: 'Shū means to take.' The Shuowen jiezi says it takes the dǒu (斗) semantic and luán (䜌) phonetic. The sūtra writes it with the hand semantic as 捲, pronounced quán, which is not the meaning of the sūtra. 䜌 has the fanqie 力專 [l- + -(zh)uan]).
