賢護（諸經中或在梵語名跋陀婆羅即佛在世時王舍城中賢護長者白衣菩薩即此賢劫中當來千佛此其一也請問佛說此經也）。

賢護 (In various sūtras, sometimes in Sanskrit named Bhadrapāla. That is, during the Buddha's lifetime in the city of Rājagṛha, the householder Bhadrapāla, a lay bodhisattva. He is one of the future thousand Buddhas in this Fortunate Kalpa. He requested the Buddha to preach this sūtra.)
