勸勵（上匡願反廣雅勸助也考聲教也獎也說文勉也從力雚聲也雚音歡下力滯反桂菀珠叢云勵勉杜注左傳云相勸也從力厲聲也）。

勸勵 (The upper character is pronounced 匡 + 願 fanqie. The Guangya says: '勸 means to assist.' The Kaosheng says: 'To teach; to encourage.' The Shuowen says: 'To exhort; it derives from 力 with 雚 as phonetic.' 雚 is pronounced 歡. The lower character is pronounced 力 + 滯 fanqie. The Guiyuan zhucong says: '勵 means to urge.' Du [Yu]'s commentary on the Zuozhuan says: 'To encourage one another; it derives from 力 with 厲 as phonetic').
