懷孕 (pregnant; the former is hu/guai fan; Kong's commentary on the Analects says 懷 means 'to hold peacefully'; Shuowen jiezi says 'to yearn for; composed of 心 with 襄 phonetic'; it is also written with radical 女 as 㜳; the latter is yi/zheng fan; Zheng's commentary on the Book of Rites says: 'Bearing a child'; Guangya says '懷㑗 [pregnant]'; Shuowen jiezi says 'bearing a child; composed of 子 phonetic'; the ancient script writes it as 𣎜).
