憺怕（上談濫反下普百反淮南子云憺滿也怕靜也經文從水作淡泊竝非也訓義別古今正字云憺怕二字竝從心形聲字也）。

Placid and tranquil (憺怕: the upper character is tan + lan fan; the lower character is pu + bai fan. The Huainanzi says: 憺 means contented; 怕 means quiet. The sūtra text writes them with the water signific as 淡泊, both of which are incorrect and have different meanings. The Gujin zhengzi says: the two characters 憺 and 怕 both take the heart (心) signific and are phono-semantic characters).
