者（天竺國梵言中邊有異中天音左輕妙為正北天音者魯質不正今取中天應書左字音則可反也）。

[Sanskrit syllable] ca (者: in the Sanskrit language of India, there is a difference between the central and peripheral regions. The sound in Central India is 左 [*tsâ*], light and refined, which is standard; the sound in Northern India is 者 [*tɕia*], coarse and unrefined, which is non-standard. Now taking Central India, one should write the character 左, whose sound is *tsək* + *k'â* = *tsâ* [ze-ke]).
