Eightfold Brahmā sounds (八梵: regarding the eight kinds of Brahmā sounds, according to the Shizhu duanjie jing they are: (1) not masculine, (2) not feminine, (3) not harsh, (4) not overly soft, (5) not too light, (6) not turbid, (7) not assertive, and (8) not weak).
