法炬（炬渠與反說文曰炬謂束薪而灼之謂大燭也珠叢曰苣謂莒苣束草爇火以照之也苣即古之炬字莒音居呂反）。

Dharma torch (法炬: 炬 is pronounced with the fanqie 渠與 [jù]. The *Shuowen jiezi* says: "炬 [jù] refers to binding firewood and igniting it, meaning a large torch." The *Zhubian* says: "苣 [jù] refers to bundling grass and setting fire to illuminate. 苣 is the ancient form of the character 炬. 莒 is pronounced with the fanqie 居呂 [jǔ].")
