家纏五葢（家纏謂家家纏也五葢謂貪葢恚葢惛忱睡眠葢掉舉惡作之葢疑也葢）。

Families are ensnared in the five hindrances (家纏五葢: "Families are ensnared" means household upon household is bound. The five hindrances are the hindrance of covetousness, the hindrance of ill-will, the hindrance of torpor and sleep, the hindrance of restlessness and regret, and the hindrance of doubt).
