Ridgepoles and eaves (The fanqie for 棟 is 都弄 [dòng]. Guo Pu's commentary on the Erya says: '棟 refers to the roof ridgepole [檼].' The fanqie for 檼 is 於靳 [yǐn]; 檼 is the ridge of a roof).
