欄楯（欄勒丹反楯述尹反說文曰欄檻也王逸注楚詞云縱曰檻橫曰楯楯間子謂之櫺）。

Balustrades and railings (balustrade [欄]: fanqie 勒 + 丹; railing [楯]: fanqie 述 + 尹; the Shuowen states that 欄 means a railing; Wang Yi's commentary on the Chuci states that vertical rails are called 檻 and horizontal rails are called 楯, and the spaces between railings are called 櫺).
