寶多羅形（多羅者西域樹名也其形似椶櫚樹也體堅如鐵葉長稠密縱多時大雨其葉蔭處乾若屋下今此以寶而成故日寶多羅也又或翻為高竦樹也）。

Form of a precious tāla tree (Tāla is the name of a tree in the Western Regions; its shape resembles a palm tree. Its wood is hard as iron, and its leaves are long and dense; even during long periods of heavy rain, the shaded ground beneath its leaves remains as dry as if under a roof. Here, because it is made of jewels, it is called a precious tāla tree. It is also translated as 'lofty tree'.)
