仁恕（恕傷預反釋名曰仁忍也謂好生惡殺善惡含忍聲類曰仁心愛物曰恕也）。

Benevolence and forbearance (ren shu; shu is pronounced shang [傷] + yu [預] in fanqie. The Shiming says: 'Benevolence [ren] means endurance [ren]; it refers to loving life, abhorring slaughter, and tolerantly enduring both good and evil.' The Shenglei says: 'When a benevolent mind cherishes creatures, it is called shu').
