凡夫嬰妄惑（廣雅曰凡輕也案夫猶人也嬰繞也言輕庸之人為虛妄惑障纏繞也）。
Ordinary mortals are entangled in deluded confusion [凡夫嬰妄惑] (the Guangya says: “Fan [凡] means light/mediocre.” In our text, fu [夫] is like ‘person’. Ying [嬰] means to entangle. It means that mediocre, common people are entangled by empty, false obstacles of delusion).
