明練（珠叢曰鎔金使精曰鍊煮絲令熟曰練也今謂善知儀式分明也）。

Clear and proficient [明練] (the Zhucong says: “Smelting gold to make it pure is called lian [鍊]; boiling silk to make it ripe is called lian [練].” Here it means to know the rituals and rules clearly and thoroughly).
