長者（風俗通曰春秋之末鄭有賢人著書一篇號鄭長者謂年長德艾事長於人以之為長者也）。

Elder [長者] (the Fengsu tong says: “At the end of the Spring and Autumn period, there was a worthy man of Zheng who composed a work of one chapter, known as Elder Zheng. It meant that his years were advanced and his virtue mature, and in affairs he was senior to others; therefore he was regarded as an elder [śreṣṭhin]”).
