大王臨庶品（鄭玄注周禮曰臨尊適卑賈注國語曰臨治也治謂治理也庶眾也品類也）。

大王臨庶品 [The great king oversees the various classes] (Zheng Xuan's Commentary on the Rites of Zhou says: "臨 means the superior going to the inferior." Jia's Commentary on the Guoyu says: "臨 means governing (治)." 治 means administering; 庶 means the multitude (眾); 品 means kinds or classes (類)).
