天魔波旬（具云提婆魔囉播裨言提婆者此云天也磨囉障㝵也播裨罪惡也謂此類報生天宮性好勸人造惡退善令不得出離故也）。

The heavenly Māra Pāpīyān (天魔波旬: Fully stated as *devamāra-pāpīyān*. 'Deva' is translated here as 'heavenly'; 'māra' means hindrance; 'pāpīyān' means sinful and evil.
