舟檝（子葉反毛詩傳曰檝所以櫂船也考聲檝棹類也說文作楫木咠聲經作檝俗用字櫂音宅効反咠音七入反）。

Oar of the boat (舟檝) (The fanqie is Zi + Ye [jí]. The Mao Commentary on the Shijing states: "The 檝 is that by which a boat is rowed." The Kaosheng states: "檝 is of the type of an oar." The Shuowen writes it as 楫, with 木 [wood] and 咠 phonetic. The sūtra writes it as 檝, which is a popular variant. 櫂 has the fanqie Zhai + Xiao [zhào]; 咠 has the fanqie Qi + Ru [qì]).
