覺寤（上江學反下五故反廣雅覺知也顧野王云覺謂知曉也蒼頡篇寐覺而有言曰寤毛詩傳云寤亦覺也說文覺亦寤也從見學省聲寤㝱省吾聲經從穴作窹非也㝱音夢）。

Awakening (the first character is *jiang* + *xue* [jué]; the second is *wu* + *gu* [wù]. The Guangya says: "*Jue* means to understand." Gu Yewang says: "*Jue* means to understand clearly." The Cangjie pian says: "Awakening from sleep and speaking is called *wu*." Mao's commentary on the Shijing says: "*Wu* also means waking up." The Shuowen says: "*Jue* also means *wu*; categorized under 'seeing' [見] with an abbreviated *xue* [學] phonetic. *Wu* has an abbreviated *meng* [㝱] with *wu* [吾] phonetic." The sūtra writes it under 'cave' as 窹, which is incorrect. *Meng* [㝱] is pronounced *meng* [mèng]).
