首楞嚴（梵語三昧名也上勒登反俗字也說文正體作[棱-土+ㄓ]木柧也從木夌聲首楞嚴者古譯云甚㴱也義亦未盡柧音孤也）。

Śūraṅgama 首楞嚴 (the Sanskrit name of a samādhi; the first character has the fanqie: 勒登 [léng]; it is a vulgar character; the standard form in the Shuowen is written as [棱-土+ㄓ], meaning the corner edge of wood; it is formed from the radical 木 with the phonetic夌; Śūraṅgama was translated in ancient times as "extremely deep", but the meaning was not fully exhausted; 柧 is pronounced 孤 [gū]).
