八不淨物（一奴婢僕使二象馬牛羊三田宅𮟴店四居貯陳宿五金銀珍寶六車乘輦輿七販賣市易八畜諸種子是名八種更有一家說如下別釋）。

Eight impure articles (八不淨物: first, male and female slaves and servants; second, elephants, horses, cattle, and sheep; third, fields, houses, shops, and stores; fourth, hoarding and storing stale grains; fifth, gold, silver, and precious gems; sixth, carriages, sedans, and palanquins; seventh, trading and merchandizing in markets; eighth, keeping various seeds. These are named the eight kinds. There is another explanation by another school, explained separately below).
