Drawing on water (畫 is pronounced *héng* + *guó* [without *cùn*] fanqie [*huà*]. The *Yupian* says: "To delimit a boundary." If pronounced *hú* + *guà* fanqie [*huà*], it means shape or image, which is not the sūtra's meaning; the former pronunciation should be taken as standard.)
