宴默（石經為古文燕字同一見反說文宴安也謂安息貌也經文作譆音虛基反痛聲也譆非此用）。

宴默 (In the Stone Classics it is written in ancient script as 燕; pronounced the same as 一見 with the fanqie [yàn]. The Shuowen says: "Yàn means peaceful," referring to the state of resting peacefully. In the sūtra text it is written as 譆, pronounced with the fanqie 虛基 [xī], the sound of groaning in pain; xī is not appropriate for use here).
