佛（梵云佛陀此云覺者此略去陀字但云佛具一切智一切種智能自開覺亦能開覺一切有情如睡夢覺如蓮花開故名為佛也謂含多義且略言耳）。

佛 (In Sanskrit, Buddha; translated here as 'Awakened One.' Here the syllable -dha is omitted, simply saying Fo. Possessing all-knowledge and knowledge of all aspects, he is able to awaken himself and also awaken all sentient beings, like waking from a dream, like a lotus blossoming; hence he is named Buddha.
