說應（憶興反傳曰應當謂根法相稱切韻又於證反總謂契應也）。

Preached appropriately (說應): yixing [fanqie]. The commentary states: "It should appropriately correspond (yingdang), meaning that the faculty and the Dharma match one another." The Qieyun also gives the fanqie yuzheng; generally it means to tally and accord with.
