木櫁（字苑民一反香木也切韻樹名作榓玉篇櫁者香木也有作䀄非也其樹似槐而香極大伐之五年始用若取其香皆預斫之久乃香出）。

Aromatic wood (櫁: Ziyuan has *mji-yit* [fanqie: 民一], an aromatic wood. The Qieyun gives the tree name as 榓. The Yupian says: '櫁 is an aromatic wood; written as 䀄 is incorrect. The tree resembles the pagoda tree (sophora), but its fragrance is extraordinarily strong. Five years after felling, it is ready for use; when harvesting its fragrance, one must cut it beforehand and wait a long time for the fragrance to emerge').
