剎那（時之極少也俱舍云百二十𠛴那為怛𠛴那量臘縛此六十此三十須臾此三十晝夜三十晝夜月十二月為於中半減夜即計須臾時可知矣玉篇須臾俄頃也經本有作千剎那頃案梵夾本文無千字或後人妄加）。

剎那 (The smallest division of time; the Kośa says that one hundred and twenty kṣaṇas make a tatkṣaṇa; sixty of these make a lava, thirty of these make a muhūrta, thirty of these make a day and night, thirty days and nights make a month, twelve months make a year, in which the nights decrease by half; thus calculating the muhūrtas one may know the time; Yupian says: "A muhūrta is a brief moment"; some versions of the sūtra have "a thousand kṣaṇas' duration"; examining the original Sanskrit palm-leaf manuscripts, there is no word for "thousand"; it was mistakenly added by later hands).
