元元（言元元者非一民也古者謂民曰善人因善為元故曰𥠖元經文作忨五喚反忨貪也忨非今之義也）。

Yuanyuan 元元 (speaking of yuanyuan means it is not just a single person among the people; ancients referred to the people as "good folk", and because good was regarded as yuan [primal/primary], they are called the li-yuan [masses]; the sutra text writes 忨, fanqie 五喚; wan 忨 means covetousness, which is not the present sense).
