勗勉（吁欲反下又作勱同靡辯反謂自勸勵也方言齊魯謂勉為勗滋說文勉強也）。

Exhort and encourage (勗勉: *xu-yowk* fanqie; the second character is also written 勱, pronounced the same, *mje-ben* fanqie. It means urging oneself on. The Fangyan says: 'In Qi and Lu, *mian* (勉, striving) is called *xu* (勗).' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'To exert oneself').
