Stepping with the feet (足躡; the lower character is fanqie 女輒; the *Guangya* states: "*Nie* means to tread; also the treadle beneath a loom trodden by the foot." The *Fangyan* states: "To ascend." The *Shuowen* states: "To sink into; from foot, phonetic in *nie*; *nie* sounds the same as above").
