白綫（先箭反說文綫縷也從糸戔聲戔音殘經文從泉作線俗字也）。

白綫 (*báixiàn*, white thread; [the second character has] the fanqie 先箭 [*xiān* + *jiàn*]. The *Shuowen* says: "*Xiàn* means thread; it is composed of 糸 with 戔 as phonetic." 戔 is pronounced *cán*. In the sūtra text it is written with the spring radical as 線, which is a popular form).
