𪏽篋（上音鄉說文云𪏰芳也從黍從甘今隸書省去水從禾作香俗字也下謙葉反說文[木*(戊@臣)]也從匚匚音方夾聲也經從竹作篋篋笥也或名香匳即香爐椷也椷音咸匳音廉）。

𪏽篋 (*xiāngqiè*, incense casket; the upper character is pronounced *xiāng*. The *Shuowen* says: "𪏰 means fragrant; it is composed of 黍 and 甘." In modern clerical script the water radical is omitted and it is written with 禾 as 香, which is a popular form. The lower character has the fanqie 謙葉 [*qiān* + *yè*]. The *Shuowen* says: "A chest; it is composed of 匚, pronounced *fāng*, with 夾 as phonetic." In the sūtra it is written with the bamboo radical as 篋; a *qiè* is a small basket-trunk. It is also called an incense box [香匳], which is an incense-burner casing [椷]. 椷 is pronounced *xián*; 匳 is pronounced *lián*).
