Heavenly deep azure (gan + luan fan; the *Analects* says: "The gentleman did not use deep azure or maroon for trimmings"; the *Shuowen* says: "*Gan* is silk of deep blue manifesting a reddish tint; it is formed with 'silk' (糸) and gan (甘) as phonetic").
