𰐤星（上隨銳反考聲云𰐤祅星也左傳云𰐤者所以除舊布新之象也爾雅云𰐤星謂之攙搶郭注謂之孛𰐤言其光芒孛孛然似掃𰐤也或𰐤古作[竺-二+(雪-雨+甡)]也說文從又又手持甡音詵孛音勃）。

𰐤星 (The upper character is fanqie su[i] + ru[i]. The Kaosheng says: 'A 𰐤 is an ominous star.' The Zuo zhuan says: 'A 𰐤 is an image for sweeping away the old and spreading out the new.' The Erya says: 'A 𰐤 star is called 攙搶.' Guo's commentary says: 'It is called a 孛𰐤, referring to its bright light flaring up like a broom.' Alternatively, 𰐤 was anciently written as [竺-二+(雪-雨+甡)]. The Shuowen says: 'It derives from 又 holding 甡.' 甡 is pronounced 詵; 孛 is pronounced 勃.)
