熈怡（上喜飢反考聲云熙和也美也爾雅云敬也古今正字從灬[(厂-一)*臣*巳]聲也[(厂-一)*臣*巳]音以之反經從女作嬉非也下以之反考聲云怡喜悅也和也爾雅云樂也方言亦喜也文字典說從心台聲也）。

熈怡 (The upper character is fanqie x[i] + j[i]. The Kaosheng says: '熙 means harmonious; fine.' The Erya says: 'It means reverent.' In the Gujin zhengzi it derives from 灬 with [(厂-一)*臣*巳] as phonetic. [(厂-一)*臣*巳] is fanqie y[i] + zh[i]. In the sūtra it derives from 女, written as 嬉, which is incorrect. The lower character is fanqie y[i] + zh[i]. The Kaosheng says: '怡 means joyful; harmonious.' The Erya says: 'It means happy.' The Fangyan also says: 'Joyful.' The Wenzidian shuo says: 'It derives from 心 with 台 as phonetic.')
