[馝-禾+黍]芬（上駢蔑反埤蒼云[馝-禾+黍]大香也考聲亦云香皃也或作[(黍/日)*(光-兀+(夙-歹+(舉-與)))]亦作𪏺古今正字從𪏰必聲下忿文反鄭箋詩云芬芬然香也郭注方言芬香和調也說文從艸分聲經從香作馚非也）。

[馝-禾+黍]芬 (The upper character is fanqie pi[an] + mi[e]. The Picang says: '[馝-禾+黍] means a great fragrance.' The Kaosheng also says: 'The appearance of fragrance.' It is also written as [(黍/日)*(光-兀+(夙-歹+(舉-與)))] or as 𪏺. In the Gujin zhengzi it derives from 𪏰 with 必 as phonetic. The lower character is fanqie f[en] + w[en]. Zheng's sub-commentary on the Odes says: '芬芬 describes fragrance.' Guo's commentary on the Fangyan says: 'Fragrant and harmoniously blended.' The Shuowen says: 'It derives from 艸 with 分 as phonetic.' In the sūtra it derives from 香, written as 馚, which is incorrect.)
