鴿鶵（上甘臘反下仕虞反郭注爾雅云雛謂鳥生而能自食者也說文正作雛從隹芻聲經作鶵俗用字也）。

鴿鶵 (The upper character is fanqie g[an] + l[a]. The lower character is fanqie sh[i] + y[u]. Guo's commentary on the Erya says: '鶵 refers to a young bird that can feed itself upon hatching.' In the Shuowen the standard character is written 雛, deriving from 隹 with 芻 as phonetic. In the sūtra it is written 鶵, a vulgar character.)
