偏黨（上音篇下當朗反何晏云黨族類也孔安國云相助匿非曰黨六韜云友謂之朋朋謂之黨周禮云五百家也）。

偏黨 (the upper character is pronounced *piān*; the lower character is *dāng* + *lǎng* [fanqie: dǎng]; He Yan says: "'Dǎng' means clan or kinsmen." Kong Anguo says: "Aiding one another to conceal faults is called 'dǎng'." The Liutao says: "Companions are called 'péng', and a group of péng is called 'dǎng'."
