瓊編 (qióng biān: [瓊 is] kuí-yíng fanqie. The Mao poem commentary says: 'Qióng is the finest of jades.' The Shuowen says: 'Red jade.' It is derived from 玉 (jade) with 敻 as phonetic. The sound of 敻 is xiū-jiǒng fanqie. The lower is bì-mián fanqie. The Cangjie pian says: 'Biān means to plait.' The Shenglei says: 'To arrange items in order using cords.' The Shuowen says it is derived from 糸 (silk) with 扁 as phonetic. The sound of 扁 is biǎn).
