嫉妒（盡悉反下都故反王逸注楚辭云害賢曰嫉害色曰妒考聲妒謂憎忌也說文並形聲字經作姤非也）。

嫉妒 (the first syllable: fanqie: 盡 + 悉; the second: fanqie: 都 + 故; Wang Yi's commentary on the Chuci says: 'Harm done to the worthy is called 嫉; harm done to beauty is called 妒.' The Kaosheng says: '妒 means resentment and envy.' The Shuowen treats both as phono-semantic compound characters; the sūtra text writes it as 姤, which is incorrect).
