蚊蜹（上吻分反俗用字也正作蟁說文云蚊齧人飛蟲子也從虫文聲下爇銳反俗蚋字正作蜹說文秦謂之蜹從虫芮聲）。

蚊蜹 [Mosquitoes and gnats] (The upper character is fanqie 吻 + 分 [wén]; it is a vulgar character, standardly written 蟁. The Shuowen jiezi says: 'A flying insect that bites humans; it has the radical 虫 and the phonetic 文.' The lower character is fanqie 爇 + 銳 [ruì]; the vulgar form is 蚋, while standardly written 蜹. The Shuowen jiezi says: 'In Qin it was called 蜹; it has the radical 虫 and the phonetic 芮').
