毒蠆（下丑芥反說文蠆螫蟲也或作𧓵案𧓵蠍𧔣𱿴之類行毒也象形從萬省聲𧔣音坦怛反𱿴音蘭怚反經作蠆俗字也）。

Poisonous scorpion (the lower character is [pronounced] fanqie: 丑 [chǒu] + 芥 [jiè]; Shuowen: “A chai is a stinging insect.” It is also written as 𧓵. Note that 𧓵, scorpions, 𧔣, and 𱿴 are all of a class that inflict poison; it is a pictograph, formed with an abbreviated 萬 as phonetic; 𧔣 is pronounced fanqie: 坦 [tǎn] + 怛 [dá]; 𱿴 is pronounced fanqie: 蘭 [lán] + 怚 [zù]; the sūtra writing 蠆 is a popular character).
