螏蟍（上秦悉反下力知反郭注尒雅云螏蟍蝍蛆似蝗大腹長角能食虵腦也文字典說從虫疾梨聲經作蒺䔧草名非此義也）。

螏蟍 (upper: *dzin* + *sit* [jí], lower: *lik* + *tje* [lí]: Guo [Pu]'s commentary on the *Erya* says: 'The 螏蟍 is the centipede (蝍蛆); it resembles a locust, with a large belly and long horns, and can eat a snake's brain.' The *Wenzidian shuo* says: 'They follow the insect radical with the phonetics *jí* (疾) and *lí* (梨).' The sūtra writes 蒺䔧, which is the name of a plant (*Tribulus terrestris*) and does not have this meaning).
