癲狂（上典年反考聲云瘨病也廣雅狂也聲類風病也說文從疒真聲經作癲俗字也）。

癲狂 (upper: *ten* + *nen* [diān]: The *Kaosheng* says: '癲 is an affliction.' The *Guangya* says: 'Mad.' The *Shenglei* says: 'Wind illness.' The *Shuowen jiezi* says: 'Follows the illness radical with the phonetic *zhēn* (真).' The sūtra writes 癲, which is a popular variant).
