鷹隼（下詢允反爾雅云鷹隼醜其飛也翬郭注云謂鼓翅翬翬然疾皃也毛詩傳云隼亦急疾之鳥也正作隼或作鶽古今正字從隹十聲也）。

鷹隼 ('falcons and hawks'; the lower character is pronounced 詢 [xún] + 允 [yǔn] fanqie. The Erya says: 'The hawk and falcon kind; when they fly, it is with rapid flutters [翬].' Guo's commentary says: 'This refers to beating their wings swiftly with rapid rustling.' The Mao Shi commentary says: 'The falcon is also a swift and fierce bird.' Properly written as 隼, or as 鶽. The Gujin zhengzi has it composed of 隹 with 十 as phonetic).
