Swirling dust (坌塵; *pen* + *wen* [bèn]; the *Kaosheng* says: "坌 means dust arriving in mass." The *Guiyuan zhucun* says: "坌 also means dust." The *Shuowen jiezi* says it has the earth radical and the *fēn* sound; it is also written 坋).
