繽紛（上匹賓反下芳分反考聲云繽紛眾多皃也王注楚辭云繽紛亦盛皃也說文繁眾也二字並皆從糸賓分聲糸音覔賓字從丐也）。

Swarming and swirling (繽紛: the upper character is 匹賓 fanqie, the lower is 芳分 fanqie. The *Kaosheng* states: "*Binfen* (繽紛) describes a multitude." Wang [Yi]'s commentary to the *Chuci* states: "*Binfen* also describes an abundant appearance." The *Shuowen* states: "Numerous and teeming." Both characters are derived from 糸, with 賓 and 分 as their phonetic components. 糸 is pronounced 覔. The character 賓 is derived from 丐).
