Dense and billowing (靉靆: the upper character is 哀改 fanqie, the lower is 臺乃 fanqie. To examine: *aidai* (靉靆) describes dense plumes of incense smoke. Gu Yewang states: "*Aidai* describes the sun and moon obscured without light." Both characters are derived from 雲, with 愛 and 逮 as their phonetic components).
