繽紛（上疋賓反下忿文反廣雅云繽紛眾也亂也韓詩云徃來皃也王注楚辭云盛皃也文字典說從糸賓分聲也）。

Profuse and fluttering (繽紛: the upper character has the fanqie 疋賓 [pīn]; the lower character has the fanqie 忿文 [fēn]. The Guangya states: "繽紛 means numerous; chaotic." The Han Poetry states: "The appearance of coming and going." Wang's commentary on the Chuci states: "An appearance of abundance." The Wenzi dian-shuo states: "Derived from 糸, with 賓 and 分 as phonetics").
